PifagorLab

Rapid prototyping

Validate your design before investing in moulds: functional prototypes, fit tests and pilot runs produced in days, not weeks.

Iterate in 24-72 h

Print, test, fix, repeat. Each iteration in days, without waiting for mainland suppliers.

Technical materials

PETG, ABS, ASA, TPU, nylon and engineering resins to validate the part in real conditions.

From idea to product without leaving the islands

Developing a product from the Canaries had one big problem: every prototype meant weeks of waiting and expensive shipping. PifagorLab solves it with local prototyping: print, test and fix in day-long cycles.

What we offer engineers, designers and startups

  • Visual validation prototypes: shape, proportion, ergonomics
  • Functional prototypes: parts that assemble, fit and bear load
  • Fit and tolerance tests: threads, clips, press fits
  • Architecture models and project presentations
  • Pilot runs of 10 to 500 units for market validation
  • Design support: we optimise your CAD for additive manufacturing (DfAM)

Our workflow

  1. File review: we check wall thickness, tolerances and print orientation, and suggest improvements free of charge.
  2. Printing and post-processing matched to the prototype’s purpose.
  3. An honest report: if something won’t work 3D printed, we say so before charging.
  4. Iteration: we adjust the design with you until the part is validated.

Coming from software and building your first physical product? We’ll walk you through the whole journey, from sketch to investor-ready prototype.

Frequently asked questions

Do you work with professional CAD files?

Yes: STEP, IGES, STL, 3MF and exports from Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Onshape and FreeCAD. We can also model from drawings or sketches if you don't have CAD yet.

What dimensional accuracy do you achieve?

FDM: typically ±0.2-0.3 mm; resin: ±0.05-0.1 mm. For critical fits (threads, snap-fits) we run tolerance tests first.

Can you produce a pilot run before mass production?

Yes — runs of 10-500 units for market validation, product photography or crowdfunding, before investing in injection moulds.

Do you sign non-disclosure agreements?

Yes, our standard NDA or yours. Project confidentiality is routine in our workflow.
